Training Reimbursement

The Employer Training Investment Program (ETIP) is a grant fund from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity that seeks to build the skills of Illinois’s workforce, particularly in the manufacturing and technology sectors.  Eligible companies may receive up to 50% reimbursement for non-administrative skills trainings, on- or off-site, through an external vendor or in-house.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Trainings must have taken place within the allotted dates
  • All trainees must be full-time employees
  • Trainings must be in a group setting (not one-on-one)
  • Trainings must develop job-related “hard skills” (i.e. not sales, communication, etc.)

While there is no guarantee that the state will renew ETIP funding for 2012, ICNC is currently logging inquiries.  If you’ve recently had an eligible training and would like to be notified if or when reimbursement funds become available, contact Steve DeBretto at ICNC.
